CHARLESTON
SENIOR PORTRAITS
AUTHENTIC, STYLISH, NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL
Capturing the Milestone
Senior year moves fast. One week it is finals, the next it is decisions about what comes next, and suddenly the chapter is closing.
A Charleston Senior Portrait Session is not about posing for the camera. It is about capturing who you actually are right now, against the backdrop of Charleston's historic streets and Lowcountry landscapes.
This is one of the last times this version of you exists. Life is about to change. These portraits are about who you are right now, before they do.
High School & College Senior Portraits
Whether you are finishing high school, completing your undergrad at the College of Charleston or The Citadel, or earning an advanced degree from MUSC or Charleston School of Law, you have worked hard to get here.
Charleston is one of the most photographed cities in the country for good reason. Historic downtown streets, Lowcountry waterways, and moss-draped parks give every session a setting that is hard to find anywhere else.
I work with local seniors and those who travel in specifically for their portraits. If you are coming from out of state, I handle the planning so the session fits into your trip. Before we shoot, we map out locations, timing, and your vision for the session.
During your session, we move through locations, work the light, and stay focused until we have what we came for. It is also a lot of fun. This is not a drop-in-and-smile situation. Sessions are collaborative and intentional, and the images reflect it.

What to Expect: Your Senior Portrait Experience
Your senior session is entirely designed around your personality, your style, and your achievements. My goal is to create an upscale, effortless experience where you can completely relax while we capture vibrant, polished images that feel entirely like you.
From wandering the quiet cobblestone streets of the historic districts to catching the perfect golden hour light along the coast, every detail of your day is intentionally planned.
ONE: Connect & Book
We begin with a personal consultation to talk through your vision, share ideas, and ensure we are a perfect match. Once you are ready to move forward, your date is officially secured with a retainer and the planning begins.
TWO: Design & Plan
To tailor the session to your style, you will share a few details about your personality, aesthetic, and preferences. From there, we design your custom session. We will collaborate on everything from selecting the perfect Charleston backdrops to coordinating wardrobe options and timing the session around the most beautiful light.
THREE: The Session
This is where it all comes together. Your session is a seamless blend of expert direction and authentic, spontaneous moments. We move through your chosen locations at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time for outfit changes, ensuring you feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera.
FOUR: The Reveal
The excitement continues right after your session. You will receive a curated sneak peek within 48 hours to share with family and friends. Your complete, professionally edited gallery will be delivered within two weeks.
FIVE: The Collection
Your high-resolution images are yours to keep, share, and preserve. Your online gallery includes all of the absolute best images from our time together, fully downloadable with print rights included. There are no complicated choosing sessions, hidden fees, or compromises on your favorites.

CLIENT LOVE 5 Star Review
Amy was great to work with! She did a senior session for our youngest son. She took the time to learn about him, helped us with clothing choices, and helped guide him in different poses. We were coming from Arkansas and she was always available to answer questions and was very prompt in her responses. The photographs turned out better than we could have hoped for! We loved the different areas that she picked downtown and at the beach to take the photographs. She made our son feel comfortable and it shows in the photos. She is in the process of designing a photo book for us and we know it is going to turn out great. We are so glad that we picked her to take his photos for such an important time in his life!

Have Questions?
I’ve put together a detailed FAQ page that covers everything from what to wear to when you’ll receive your photos. Here are a few quick answers to the most common ones:
How long is the session? I offer three session types:
The Full Experience: Three hours across multiple Charleston locations with multiple outfits. Time to move, explore, and build a gallery with real variety in light, setting, and mood.
The Signature Session: 1.5 hours within one area, explored on foot. Great for downtown Charleston where there's real variety within just a few blocks.
The Golden Hour Session: up to one hour on the beach at golden hour. The last hour before sunset is when the light does exactly what you came for.
Pricing reflects the full experience: the planning, the guidance, and the quality of your final gallery, not just the time we spend shooting
How many images will I get? You receive all of the best images from your session, curated, edited, and delivered in an online gallery with full print rights. No picking favorites. Most sessions deliver 60 or more images across locations, outfit changes, expressions, and a mix of wide and tight crops. I also include candid moments between the posed shots. Black and white conversions are available on request.
What should I wear? After booking you will receive a prep guide covering outfits, color coordination, and accessories. I also send a curated Pinterest board and a shopping recommendations list. Most seniors bring one dressy look and one that feels more like them on a regular day, just elevated. We go over everything on a planning call before your session.
Charleston Area Locations That Shine
Clients love Charleston for its variety of beautiful, natural, and historic backdrops:
Downtown Charleston Iron gates, cobblestone streets, pastel homes, and gas lanterns. Each block offers something different for your Charleston senior portraits. Popular areas include the French Quarter, South of Broad, and The Battery.
Isle of Palms Beach Open sand, sea grass, and wildflowers. I know a spot away from the crowds that works beautifully for a golden hour senior session.
Hampton Park and White Point Garden Two of Charleston's most photographed parks for senior portraits. Oak-lined paths, seasonal blooms, and plenty of space to move through a session.

That is what I am here to help you do. Here is what working with me looks like:
-
Every session is built around you, your style, your energy, your ideas. I listen first, then shoot.
-
I know Charleston's locations and how light moves through them. That knowledge puts you in the right place at the right time.
-
Not sure what to do in front of a camera? I'll guide you. Prompts, movement, and a little humor go a long way toward images that actually look like you.
-
My editing is clean and life-like. Not light and airy, not dark and moody. Just real color that holds up over time.
-
I've been through senior year three times. I know what it means for the senior and for the parents. We'll get both.
-
Your fully edited gallery is delivered within two weeks and you will receive a sneak peek within 48 hours.
