SENIOR PORTRAITS
AUTHENTIC, STYLISH, NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL
Charleston Area Senior Portraits
Senior year is filled with excitement, milestones, and anticipation. Senior portraits give this moment the attention it deserves.
Senior portraits are a tradition for a reason. They mark a meaningful point in life and recognize how much has been accomplished. More than a single image in a yearbook, professional senior portraits create a lasting record of this time. The best senior photos reflect personality, style, and individuality through natural, vibrant portraits that feel honest and current.
As a Charleston senior photographer, I create senior portrait sessions that feel relaxed, thoughtful, and personal. I rely on natural light and use additional lighting when necessary, photographing seniors across historic Charleston streets and Lowcountry landscapes for images that feel natural and real.
The result is senior portraits that feel like you, photographed with intention and care in Charleston.
High School and College Senior Portraits
Senior photos aren’t just for high school. Graduating from college is a major accomplishment, and it deserves to be captured with the same care and creativity.
I work with students from the College of Charleston, The Citadel, MUSC, Charleston School of Law—and graduating seniors from across the country—who want to mark this moment and celebrate their achievement with images that feel personal, natural, and true to who they are.
Whether you're finishing undergrad, grad school, nursing, or law school, this is a milestone worth documenting.
What to Expect When You Work with Amy Quinn Hill
I take the time to get to know you—your style, your energy, your vision—so your session feels like an authentic reflection of who you are. My goal is simple: create a relaxed space where you can be yourself, where the best images happen—natural, dynamic, and full of life.
Most of my Charleston outdoor senior photos take place in beaches, gardens, quiet cobblestone streets, or locations meaningful to you.
Whether we're chasing golden hour by the water or wandering through historic districts, your session will be designed around your personality. Here's how it all works:
Connect & Book We'll start with a quick call to make sure we're a good fit and go over your vision. Once you're ready, your session date is reserved with a retainer.
Plan You'll complete a short questionnaire to help me learn about your personality and style—including a few fun things, like your favorite flower and favorite music. I love incorporating small details like these into your session. Once I have your responses, we'll have a call to go over everything—outfits, location options, timing, and anything else you'd like to discuss.
Create This is the fun part! We'll capture a mix of natural poses and moments guided by prompts, in settings that reflect your personality and style. Most sessions include 2–3 outfit changes, and we may move to additional locations if time allows.
Reveal You'll receive a sneak peek within 48 hours. Your full gallery will be delivered within two weeks, ready to download, share, and print.
Treasure These images are to be enjoyed as soon as you receive them. Your online gallery will include all of the best images from your session. There is no choosing between favorites, no additional fees.

CLIENT LOVE 5 Star Review
Amy was great to work with! She did a senior session for our youngest son. She took the time to learn about him, helped us with clothing choices, and helped guide him in different poses. We were coming from Arkansas and she was always available to answer questions and was very prompt in her responses. The photographs turned out better than we could have hoped for! We loved the different areas that she picked downtown and at the beach to take the photographs. She made our son feel comfortable and it shows in the photos. She is in the process of designing a photo book for us and we know it is going to turn out great. We are so glad that we picked her to take his photos for such an important time in his life!

I’ve put together a detailed FAQ page that covers everything from what to wear to when you’ll receive your photos. Here are a few quick answers to the most common ones:
Have Questions?
How long is the session?
I offer two session types, both designed to be customized to your vision. The Signature Session is 1 to 1.5 hours and includes walking to nearby locations. The Full Experience is 2 to 2.5 hours and allows time to drive to a second or third location. While session length varies, pricing reflects the experience, planning, and quality of the final gallery—not just the time we spend shooting. How many images will I get?
You’ll receive all of the best digital images from your session. I thoughtfully curate and edit your photos, delivering them in an online gallery with full print rights. No picking favorites—they’re all yours to download, share, and print. While the final count depends on session length, most collections start at 60+ images, capturing a range of expressions, poses, locations, outfit changes, and a mix of wide-angle and tighter crops. With my documentary-style approach, I also include candid, behind-the-scenes moments—like a quiet laugh, a wind-blown hair fix, or a quick hug from mom. It’s an easy, all-inclusive experience that feels relaxed, natural, and true to you. And if you’d like a favorite image converted to black and white, just ask—it’s a simple request and can add even more variety to your gallery.
What should I wear?
After booking, I’ll send a detailed prep guide with tips on choosing outfits, coordinating colors, and adding accessories that reflect your style. I also include a curated Pinterest board and a shopping recommendations list. I love when seniors bring one dressy look and one that feels more everyday—just elevated a bit. I’m happy to help you choose colors that will photograph beautifully and complement you and the location. We’ll go over everything on a planning call so you feel confident and excited going into your session.
Charleston Area Locations That Shine
Clients love Charleston for its variety of beautiful, natural, and historic backdrops:
Downtown Charleston Senior photography in downtown Charleston means exploring one of the most scenic and walkable cities in the country—each block offering a new backdrop, from iron gates and gas lanterns to blooming trees, vibrant palmetto bushes, narrow pathways, cobblestone streets, and pastel homes dressed in flowers. Whether you're drawn to iconic spots or quiet corners, downtown delivers charm and variety in every direction. Popular neighborhoods include the French Quarter, South of Broad, and The Battery.
Isle of Palms Beach: Perfect for a relaxed, outdoor senior session, Isle of Palms Beach features winding paths lined with wildflowers and sea grass, open stretches of sand, and a peaceful setting that’s ideal for a golden-hour session. I know a beautiful spot away from the crowds—perfect for capturing something natural and personal.
Hampton Park & White Point Garden: Two of Charleston’s most picturesque parks, both are filled with lush greenery, seasonal blooms, and oak-lined paths. Hampton Park feels expansive and quiet, while White Point Garden offers a coastal breeze and views of historic mansions along The Battery. Each makes for a serene and timeless setting for senior portraits.
