Senior Portrait Portfolio | Charleston, South Carolina

The Moments I Love to Capture.

Senior portraits filled with personality, movement, and your style. Vibrant, true-to-color photography against the Lowcountry landscape.

What and Where I Love to Create

Historic Charleston Streets From South of Broad to the French Quarter, the city's vibrant colors, cobblestone textures, and architecture make for backdrops that are hard to replicate anywhere else. Add whatever seasonal blooms are lining the walkways and the setting does a lot of the work.

Parks, Blooms, and Majestic Live Oaks The striking beauty of nature and its rich colors are everywhere here, from our beautiful parks and lush greenery to the majestic, sprawling live oak branches draped in Spanish moss. Pops of seasonal color create a vivid, Lowcountry look you can find year-round.

Golden Hour at the Beach Everyone is happier and more relaxed at the beach. The moment your feet touch the sand, the breeze and expansive views take over, acting like a natural reset button. Whether we are ending the session here or spending the full session on the shore, it is the perfect spot to watch the sunset, catch that easy energy, and get those beautiful golden hour shots as the sun dips below the horizon.

"The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do."
Andy Warhol

Charleston’s Hampton Park and Isle of Palms

Spring Session

We began under the grand magnolias and moss-draped live oaks of Hampton Park for this Bishop England High School senior session. After, we made our way to a peaceful stretch of beach on Isle of Palms, where her blue flowy skirt complemented the soft blues and sandy tones.

The French Quarter, South of Broad and U.S. Customs House

Late March

This full graduation session for a Charleston School of Law student started at the iconic Mills House Hotel before we explored the historic streets to find the blooming purple wisteria, matching her graduation hood perfectly. She showcased two beautiful styles, starting in a classic white dress and transitioning into a black dress for portraits with her law textbooks. We wrapped up the session at the U.S. Customs House, where she celebrated her achievement in her full cap, gown, and doctoral hood against the grand architectural columns.

Hampton Park in Charleston

Fall Session

This fall senior session highlighted one of Charleston’s most peaceful, flower-filled backdrops for a local Philip Simmons High School student. The session featured warm, golden hour light, soft autumn colors all around, and a classic style pairing a cozy sweater over a crisp white dress for a timeless look.

Isle of Palms & South of Broad

Spring Session

We began along the quiet, historic streets of the South of Broad neighborhood for this local Philip Simmons High School senior. Blooming pink oleander and white jasmine added a lovely touch of color as we made our way to the Battery promenade. We then headed to Isle of Palms for golden hour portraits in a new outfit, wrapping up the evening with relaxed family photos on the beach as the sun set behind a colorful sky and the glow of a full moon began to rise.

Downtown Charleston & Kiawah Ocean Course

Summer Session

This high school senior session took place over two days for this Penn State bound high school senior visiting from Pittsburgh, PA. Day one was all about golf, his greatest passion, and shot on the greens of the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. For day two, we explored downtown Charleston and because he was a fan of Outer Banks, we made a special stop outside the Ben Silver storefront on King Street. We wrapped up the two day experience with a spectacular golden sunset at the Battery.

Bold Backdrops & Iconic Charleston Stops

Summer Session

This summer senior session for him started by a colorful graffiti wall tucked away in a less traveled corner of Charleston with art by a local artist setting the tone. This Philip Simmons High School senior brought his guitar, a perfect prop, and yes, he played too. From there, we wandered through the French Quarter and stopped at the iconic Dock Street Theater, capturing a mix of bold and classic Charleston backdrops.

Isle of Palms Beach

Fall Session

Senior photos don't have to be a big deal. For a lot of guys, a relaxed walk at Isle of Palms, a couple of outfits, and some good light is exactly enough. This Philip Simmons High School senior session was especially fun because he is the younger brother of a previous client. No fuss, just a walk on the beach on a beautiful Lowcountry evening. A few laughs, shots you'll like, and photos your mom will love.

Downtown Charleston

Spring Session Session

This Charleston School of Law graduation session was all about maximizing one perfect outfit, featuring her gorgeous black and white dress. We started in the historic French Quarter, taking advantage of the beautiful textures outside the historic Dock Street Theater. To wrap up the milestone celebration, we headed to the U.S. Customs House to capture her cap and gown portraits against the grand architecture and towering columns.

French Quarter, Charleston

Summer Session

This summer high school senior session for a Wando High School graduate focused on earthy tones and a relaxed, casual vibe. Her favorite color is green and she really wanted to highlight that in her photos, so we found beautiful greens tucked away in a somewhat secret alley and historic cobblestone streets. We explored the quiet corners of the French Quarter, capturing rich, natural textures and a comfortable, authentic style.

Isle of Palms Beach

Late Spring

This late spring session celebrated a recent University of Michigan graduate who wanted a casual, beachy vibe to mark her milestone. Embracing a creative and relaxed feel, we experimented with a little motion blur and soft focus to capture the effortless movement of the ocean. The images perfectly blend warm, glowing sunlight with a timeless, coastal aesthetic on the sands of Isle of Palms.

Historic Charleston’s French Quarter and South of Broad

Late Spring

Shot just a few weeks before graduation, this sunset session celebrated a Medical University of South Carolina medical school graduate who just found out she matched at UVA for internal medicine. We captured portraits in both a beautiful dress and her cap and gown against the historic South of Broad charm and the waterfront views of the Battery.

Isle of Palms and Daniel Island

Late Spring

This Philip Simmons High School senior session featured a perfect mix of locations before she heads off to USC. We started at a quiet Daniel Island boat landing to capture stunning marsh views, where she brought her older sister along for a few sweet photos together. We then headed to Isle of Palms beach to wrap up the milestone celebration with some dramatic, golden hour cap and gown portraits by the surf.

This golden hour session celebrated a proud graduate moving all the way from Pennsylvania to Charleston to embark on a new professional post graduation. That is what I am here to help you do. Here is what working with me looks like:

  • Every session is built around you, your style, your energy, your ideas. I listen first, then shoot.

  • I know Charleston's locations and how light moves through them. That knowledge puts you in the right place at the right time.

  • Not sure what to do in front of a camera? I'll guide you. Prompts, movement, and a little humor go a long way toward images that actually look like you.

  • My editing is clean and life-like. Not light and airy, not dark and moody. Just real color that holds up over time.

  • I've been through senior year three times. I know what it means for the senior and for the parents. We'll get both.

  • Your fully edited gallery is delivered within two weeks and you will receive a sneak peek within 48 hours.
